Song Yi

Born in Qingdao, China. British nationality. Started ballet at the age of 14.
He studied classical ballet with a scholarship at the National Beijing Dance Academy and graduated from the same ballet school.
Enrolled in Singapore Dance Theater since 2001. Winner of the 9th Asia Pacific International Ballet Competition Senior Division.
Enrolled in the Northern Ballet Company in the United Kingdom from 2005 to 2012. Prince of “The Nutcracker”, Romeo and Tybalt of “Romeo and Juliet”, Baron Valmont of “Dangerous Relationship”, Anthony of “Swan Lake”, “Three Gunmen” Aramis, “Dracula” Arthur, “Midsummer Night” He has played major roles in “Dream of the Dream” Lysander, “Cleopatra” Wadjet, and “Hamlet” Laertes.
Moved to Japan in 2012 and has been active as a ballet instructor at home and abroad. Currently, he is a ballet instructor at Yiris Ballet, New National Theatre, K-Ballet Company, Star Dancers Ballet Company, Showa University of Music Ballet Course, and Studio Architects.
Graduated from Waseda University Faculty of International Liberal Arts in 2016, and graduated from Waseda University Graduate School of Commerce in 2018.
